We've tried our hardest to provide a response for everything you might want to know, so you can feel prepared and ready to engage in our services.
Our therapists are experienced and qualified individuals that can support you with a wide variety of mental health concerns including (but not limited to): anxiety, panic, sleep concerns, low mood, depression, adjustment difficulties, trauma-related disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, relationship issues, self-esteem, anger issues, drug and alcohol concerns.
To optimise your therapy experience, consider using headphones to create a more intimate setting and reduce distractions.
Before your session, check your internet connection, data usage, and any necessary software. Test your audio and visual components with a practice call to friends or family. Have a backup plan, such as a phone session, in case of technical difficulties during video sessions. Make sure your device has a full battery or keep a charger nearby.
We use our software to conduct our video appointments. You will receive an email with a link to the meeting prior to your session.
Alternatively, the session can take place over the phone.
The link can be accessed on iPads, laptops and desktop computers. iPhones can be used however, we don’t recommend this due to the size of the screen.
Your therapist will provide information about telehealth therapy and what this looks like. Telehealth therapy sessions are conducted in the same way as in-person therapy sessions, so if you're familiar with therapy, you'll find it easy to switch to virtual sessions.
If you're new to therapy, your therapist will spend some time in the first session getting to know you, asking about what brought you to therapy, and encourage you to ask questions.
Through out intake process we try to get the most out of what your needs are out of therapy such as therapist preferences, experience and modality. Our intake team closely reviews information provided to match you with a therapist that best suits.
Alternatively you can request more information about our therapists and we will wait to hear from you when you are ready to go ahead.
We encourage you to let us know if you feel like you aren't a great match so we can find someone right for you

Therapy can be thought of as a process of untangling a knot. Just as a knot can become tangled and difficult to unravel, our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours can become jumbled and confusing. Through therapy, we work to untangle these knots and better understand the underlying issues that may be causing distress. As we untangle the knot, we can begin to see a clearer path forward and develop strategies for managing difficult thoughts and emotions. In this way, therapy helps us to gain clarity and find relief from the knots that may be holding us back.
